Design Fair

It’s been six years since I wrote about my love for vintage furniture in my first blog. After all these years, nothing has changed at all. On the contrary: read more about my plans in this blog!

Vintage, reused, second-hand, preloved, or whatever you want to call it, is gaining more and more ground and that’s understandable. The need for conscious and sustainable choices is not only seen in the field of housing, but in many other areas.

The choice of vintage furniture is also a tribute to traditionally made items. It is usually this furniture that makes the difference, because 13 in a dozen items or copying interiors does not make anyone happy and inspired, right?

OK, that all sounds great, but how do you go about something like that? I think it’s a super fun challenge to find the pearls among the huge selection. But just a collection of pearls is not enough: the trick is to make the right and often daring combinations. And without wanting to brag: I think I’m good at that.

I’m thrilled to have recently been asked by Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam to participate in the Design Fair on April 30th!

For this Design Fair, I get to decorate a style room with items from our shops together with Pakhaus from Rotterdam, but at the same time I’m launching something new there: Vintage small furniture and accessories! I’m really looking forward to this because I’ve been walking around with this idea for a long time.

There will be a mix of Japandi, Scandinavian furniture, lighting and colorful Czech and Venetian glassware. I will also present the vases with which I exhibited during the Salone de Mobile, together with other new modelling of my own.

This special, circular Design Fair has a diverse range of unique items for every household and every wallet. So everything you see is also for sale! And in addition to special interior pieces, you can also view and get your hands on work by new talent/designers and clothing.

An absolute must for every interior lover. So put April 30 in your calendar for a day in Rotterdam! I hope to see you then.

X, Edith
