Buenos Aires, Argentina

Whether you’re in Buenos Aires for the first or umpteenth time, there’s a good chance you’ll end up in the Palermo district. That is, if you’re looking for a place that’s on the move and where you can feel the creative pulse of the city.

In the 1990s, Palermo was transformed from a poor neighborhood that had little interest in a neighborhood where young creatives came together and then settled. They have established the shops, bars, restaurants and atmosphere that make this area so attractive.

On weekends, the markets of the Plaza Serrano and the Plaza Armenia are packed with vendors and artists. Don’t forget to visit one of the beautiful old bars. In Buenos Aires they still exist, every neighbourhood has one and they are the essence of the city.

Like other world cities, Buenos Aires is big and crowded: it’s tempting to think you should leave the city for some greenery, but make no mistake. Go to the Jardin Botánico! The entrance is free and the garden is open from Wednesday to Sunday. The garden is also located in Palermo so try to combine these two extremes.

Jardin Botanico

The Jardin Botánico covers an area of 7 hectares in which 5,500 plant, tree and shrub species from the region can be seen, as well as a large number of beautiful sculptures and five greenhouses. It’s very rewarding! A cherry on the cake of a beautiful day!
